Floating Stair Installation

One of the most striking interior design features in the four larger residential units at Freeman Street Homes is the floating stair system. These stairs, paired with expansive windows, will create a dramatic, light-filled focal point in each of the four larger homes.

This week, our team took a major step—literally—toward bringing that vision to life. The massive steel framework for the stairs and landings was delivered and carefully lifted into place using a crane. Each piece was positioned with precision to ensure both structural integrity and the clean, modern lines our design calls for.

Once complete, these floating stairs will connect the main living areas to the upper floors with an open, airy feel. Combined with the large window walls, they’ll allow natural light to flow through the entire space while maintaining a sense of architectural elegance.

With the stair structure now installed, the next steps will involve prepping for treads, railings, and finish details that will complete this standout design element.
